The William Henry Miller Inn is located in the heart of downtown Ithaca. The mansion was designed by its namesake, renowned Ithaca architect, William Henry Miller, for local wholesale grocers, the Stowell family. In 1914 it was sold to the Osborn family who owned the 5&10. The Osborn's continued to own the home until it was sold in 1998 and converted into an Inn which opened in 1999. Amy Fuhr purchased the Inn in June 2019, along with her business partner, Chris Anderson. Amy's daughter, Casey, returned to Ithaca in June 2021 and joined her at the Inn as our assistant innkeeper. Since purchasing the Inn, Amy, Casey, and Chris have spent lots of time updating and redecorating the Inn as well as increasing the earth friendliness of the operation. Our goal is to give our guests a relaxing, comfortable and memorable stay in our historic mansion. Our rooms are filled with local art, soft linens and unique furnishings. You will notice the amazing American chestnut used throughout the Inn and our original Tiffany stained glass windows. Room rates include free wi-fi, parking, a full homemade breakfast and nightly homemade desserts. Our staff is friendly and knowledgeable and happy to chat about all there is to do in our area. The Inn is just a couple blocks from the Commons and many fabulous restaurants, bars and shopping, as well as two waterfalls, one is just around the corner. We are also just down the hill from both Ithaca College and Cornell University and we are just a 15-20 minutes drive from four State parks.
